Esports’ biggest event of the summer

The playoff stage of the biggest DotA 2 tournament starts today. The odds have been verified by the market, and everything is ready to go. 

One of the top online bookmakers is offering odds on whoever will take the Aegis this year.

Despite the poor performance in the last major tournament they are still listed at the top of the betting list. They also did poorly in the group stage of TI9, and many have doubts of them actually taking the desired trophy along with the $15 million prize. Team Secret is priced at 3.50 (5/2).

The biggest value is still behind last year’s champions OG who are priced at 4.50 (7/2) to win the tournament. The team hasn’t had much success but still managed to land among the best in every tournament. They were not considered at a big contender up until they exited the TI9 group stage with the best record. 

Besides these two, there are two more teams who have a good look at the trophy, and that is ViCi and PSG.LGD. They have been riding a hype wave for a while, especially ViCi which took 2 out of 4 Majors this year. They are given the odds of  4.25 (13/4) and 4.50 (7/2), respectively.
