Will Kobe become an NBA logo?

There are no doubts that Kobe Bryant’s legacy is going to live forever. Last Monday, people packed the Staples Center to celebrate the life of a legend. Many NBA Hall of Famers including Shaquille O’Neal and Michael Jordan, gave out speeches to honour the lives of Kobe and his daughter - Gianna.

Kobe’s impact on the game was so big that fans around the world have filed a petition to change the main NBA logo to Kobe’s silhouette. The current logo has featured another Hall of Famer Laker Jerry West since 1969. The petition that has currently gathered 3.1 mln signatures is just a bit short from its 4.5 mln goal to get pushed through.

Many people are leaning towards the idea that the iconic Jerry West logo is in need of refreshment. Therefore, top online bookies could not have missed such an opportunity and opened their markets.

Despite Kobe’s passing profoundly touching the lives of many, it seems like there won’t be a change taking place any time soon. At least, that is what the odds can tell us.
