What are the chances of seeing a cat during the football game? Bookmakers already know.
Football lovers, both American and European, had a chance to witness something that does not happen quite often. Besides Suarez biting a player or whether or not OBJ will rock the pricey watch during the NFL fixture punters can not bet on a chance of seeing a black cat on the field.
The story unfolded during this week’s Monday Night Football. American NFL Dallas Cowboys took on the New York Giants in a what is called one of the biggest NFL rivalries.
Fans could enjoy not only the best football performance of their favourite teams but something extra as well. Out of nowhere, a black cat ran out on the field, stopping the action for a while. A MetLife Cat or simply a #BlackCat immediately became popular among New York fans. However, as mysterious as it appeared on the field, it vanished in the end zone tunnel. The cat has yet to be found, and top online bookmakers could not have stayed aside and opened some novelty markets related to the matter.
One of the top bookies, right now, offers a prop on whether or not the MetLife cat will appear during another Giants or Jets game (which both play at the same arena) in 2019.
The book offers a cool odds of 9.00 (8/1) on the possibility of the cat being seen at least once again this year. However, since the shelter service has been called for assisting the search, it seems like we rather won’t see a famous fluffy pet running down the field again. The sportsbook prices a “No” option at 1.04 (1/25).
Maybe we won’t see a speedy black cat again, but the market for its capture is still out there. One of the top online bookmakers is giving the odds of 2.55 (31/20) for the cat to be captured in 2019, however, it is rather favoured that it will be still on the run, priced at 1.45 (9/20).

There are seven more NFL games left to be held at the MetLife Stadium, and it seems like enough for something like this to happen, at least, once again.
Just to mention, the NFL is not the only major league that experienced a similar event. English Premier League, saw a ridiculously similar black cat delaying the action for well over two minutes during the Everton - Wolverhampton matchup back in August.
