Benfica and Porto are odds on to win Portuguese Primeira Liga

The 2019-2020 season-opener between Portimonense and Belenenses is scheduled this Friday, August 9. 

Benfica, who won the title last season is looking a bit different compared to last year. It traded its star Joao Felix to Atletico Madrid for an impressive €126 million and retired its legend, Jonas. In return, the club got Raul de Tomas from Real Madrid and Chiquinho from Moreirense. The defending champions are top-market priced at 1.91 (10/11) by Betfair.

Benfica’s main rival Porto has undergone even bigger changes, replacing over a half of its last season’s roster.
