Analysis of the semi-finals in the European League

Semi-finals in the European Cup premise to be very interesting. At first glance we see Benefica and Chelsea in the finals. For UEFA it would probably be dream final in the terms of marketing. We will see how it will turn out to be. Matches will be played on April 25th and rematches a week later. Finals in the Amsterdam on May 15th.

• Fenerbahce : Benefica

Turkish team did not ignore Benefica. Kuyt, Meireles and company plays perfectly not only in the current edition, but in the Turkish league as well. Fenerbahce is especially dangerous at home where fans are an extra motivation for players. Benefica is a recognized brand in Europe and it must be admitted that they play very good in this competition. Until recently Benefica was the only front runner to win the cup, but now Chelsea has a fair chance as well, because as we can see plays well and is serious about the game.

We already know the first odds issued by the bookmakers for this match and advance.

• Advance: 1:2,50, 2:1,50

The odds are issued in accordance with my expectations. I am thinking of playing for the Benefica's  advance, but in the last minute. League matches are upon us and we cannot tell that there will not be any injuries.

• Basel : Chelsea

After the match with Zenit, where only thanks to luck the team advanced and I did not believe that it would happen because Tottenham was very motivated. However, after both incredible matches I feel satisfied. I believe that Swiss were better and fully deserved this success. Now they are expecting the fight with even better English team. Will they get to the final? I personally think that at this stage Basel will have to say good bay to the European Cup. In fact I still have in mind Basel's matches against Manchester United in the Champions League, but than Manchester United was not in top form. Chelsea's form seems to be good.

• Odds for the first match: 1:3,00,X:3.60,2:2,20

Seems that odds for Chelsea are a bit undervalued, of course it is a front-runner, but Swiss at home are able to afford at least a minimum win. The odds at 2.45 seems appropriate to Chelsea. I am thinking about 1X (odds 1.70, valuable for me).

• Advance 1:3,20 2:1,30

As you can see bookmakers give little chances to Basel even though Tottenham is eliminated. In my opinion Chelsea will advance, but I am not in favor of playing at such low rates at this stage of tournament.
