Analysis of the semi-finals in the Champions League

We will have two hits in the current edition of the Champions League! Have UEFA had a hand in the previous draw? I do not know and do not want to know, the most important is that these four teams ended up in the final four. I think that they are the best teams playing in the Champions League.

The system of semi-finals was not so important but it is good that two teams from the same country did not ended up against each other. The first match will be played on 23rd and 24th of April, and the rematch a week later. The finals will be held in London at Wembley on May 25th.

• Bayern Munich: FC Barcelona

In my opinion it is premature final of the tournament. Fantastic Bayern will play against Catalan team which in previous two round has had its up and downs. The question is who is the front-runner for this match? I think that only the sympathy for one of the teams gives an advantage because they are similarly strong. Bookmakers give Barcelona a better chance, but probably it is only psychological aspect that Barca is always a front-runner. A big impression on me is doing the tams from Munich not only in the Champions League but on domestic field as well. It could be called a winning machine and if it would be playing against Real Madrid or Borussia Dortmund I would have chosen it as a front-runner. Barcelona plays completely different from other teams that is why it is difficult the predict match's outcome. What if Bayern will be playing offensively? According to me as previous rounds have shown (first match of Milan and PSG game) it is not a good tactic and Bayern really is able to take the initiative. Barcelona needs to be pressed because their defense is terrible, we do not know if Puyol is going to play, but Adraino certainly will not. Viewed from the side Bayers has a terrible advantage in defense, in the middle of the filed the chances are balanced with a little advantage of Barcelona, wings are in the advantage of Bayers and how about the attack? Messi plays in attack...

The odds are good in my opinion, moreover they are set perfectly. Barcelona in recent away matches does not shine (lost against Celtic, AC Milan and a draw with PSG), which means that Bayern has a fair chance of winning.

I would set the odds closer to a tie. In my opinion 2.50 with such a well play of Bavarians is a valuebet, after all we cannot be sure that Messi will return to his shape. He will not play much in the Spanish league or even at all but it may affect his form. The form always gets lowers, and often in the worst time possible...

• Borussia Dortmund:Real Madrid

Well we do have a repetition of the Champions League group stage. Will it end with a little surprise this time as well? It is difficult to predict because every match is different and stake is a lot higher. I must admit that for me Dortmund's advance will be a big surprise. Matches with Malaga did not convinced me and I don't know if this is enough to defeat a team from Mourinho. In my opinion, everything will depend on the effectiveness of strikers. Borussia will have a chance only if Lewandowski, Getze or Marco Reus will not waste any chances to score.

At Borussia's stadium I do not expect the lost of the German team. The odds are 1X at 1,60-1,70 seems to be a good winning chance.

How could it be possible that Real will not advance to the finals? Bookmakers think the same, that is why the odds are at this level. I will not deny because I think myself that Reals is a front-runner in this match.
