Will it get to merging of the two British giants? Much points at it is going to be exactly like this. The bookmakers Sportingbet and William Hill have already reached agreement concerning merging, namely purchase Sportingbet from the side of William Hill.
The cost of the transaction makes more than 530 million pounds. Experts claim that Sportingbet has more than 17% part on the British sports betting market.
The firm GVC Holdings also took part in the transaction, thanks to which all three sides reached the agreement. We would like to remind that in September 2012 WH GVC Holdings offered Sportingbet bookmaker more than 400 million pounds for its shares. The owners rejected the given offer.
It should be mentioned that both firms are sure that after merging they will be able to conquer the British market. Their main competitors are the oldest bookmaker company of Great Britain - Ladbrokes and the expanding in power - Unibet
