Bayern Munich vs. Real Madrid match analysis

Will The Whites be able to get an advance after a victory at Santiago Bernabeu?

The result of the first clash of giants totally surprised me. Defence, defence and once again defence - first matches of the first half of finals can be summed up like this. Two undoubtedly well scoring teams - Real and Bayern - were not able to create many tight corner situations. Despite the colossal advantage of Bavarians in the middle of the field, it did not transfer to tight spots. From fifteen corners performed by The Germans there was practically no danger of scoring. Real was playing from counterattack - in my opinion it is the best in the world in it. One of the quick actions ended with a score but if Ronaldo or Angel Di Maria concentrated more it could have been socred already in first half.

What will revenge bring? Real’s tactics has worked out so probably it will not change. Bayern is the one that needs to worry about the outcome,  scoring goals and counterattack as well. Real will probably play from counterattack and if it scores Bayern will need as much as three points to advance. Bookmakers see home team as their front runner in the upcoming match, odds are at 1,64 (declines seen in the odds), draw 4,20, Galacticos victory 4,75. Looking at the match only through the prism of the last Bayern’s match against the Red Devils it could be bet on, but for instance looking at matches against Arsenal or Manchester city or Borussia Dortmund - Bayern did not do well, even on their own stadium. I am willing to bet on Bayern assuming that attacks will bring effect, and that Ribery will play at a much higher level. Odds for home team are not high enough to play for a high stake.

Bookmakers set odds at 2,20 for advance of Bayern and 1,67 for Real’s advance. No goals lost and excellent counterattacks of The Whites give good bases to bet on them.
