Predict the winners of the 88th Academy Awards

After the awards of Golden Globe in 2016 time for nominations for the Oscars has come. Who will be celebrating this year?

88th Academy Awards is going to be held on February 28, 2016 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The Gala is going to be lead by famous American comedian - Chris Rock, who will perform the role for the second time. After the announcement of the nominations, biggest Internet bookmakers have not wasted time and prepared odds for the winners of the main categories. On the bookmakers’ websites one can bet among others on the winners of the following categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Animated Film.

As every year during the awards ceremony members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will choose the winners in 24 categories. This year among the favorites films such as "Spotlight", "The Revenant", "The Martian," "Bridge of Spies," "The Big Short", "Brooklyn", "The Room" and even "Mad Max:Fury road". The most nominations received movie "The Revenant" - 12, on second place is "Mad Max:Fury road" with 10 nominations, on the third place with 7 nominations is  " The Martian" by Ridley Scott.

Choosing winners however will not be as obvious as it seems, it can also be seen by the odds set by bookmakers. In the case of nomination for Best Actor in a Leading we can see such famous names as Leonardo DiCaprio (it’s his 5th nomination), Michael Fassbender, Eddie Redmayne, Matt Damon and Bryan Cranston. Among the women nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress there are: Brie Larsson, Cate Blanchett, Jennifer Lawrence, Saoirse Ronan and Charlotte Rampling. For the title of best director are competing Alejandro González Iñárritu, Lenny Abrahamson, George Miller, Thomas McCarthy, Adam McKay.
