Manchester City vs. AS Roma match analysis
Will unbeaten yet Roma be able to keep up the winning strike?
Bookmakers see home team as a front runner. For its win they offer about 1,63 for a draw 3,75 and for Roma’s win 5,50. Looking at the shape of both teams it seem that the odds for The Citizens should be a little bit higher. Roma has won this season everything that could have been won (4 league matches and one match in Champion League). The truth that none of the opponents were from the highest level and it is hard to guess how are they going to play against a strong opponent - however 5 matches won in a row makes a good impression.
Of course winning against CSKA in Rome 5:1 impresses, this time it is an away game and different opponent. Italian’s advantage may be a good defence play (two lost goals in five matches) which is of a great importance in such mtch.
The Citizens have already played some important matches this season against a very good teams. Have the presented themselves well? In my opinion it could have been better. Win against Liverpool 3:1 shows weak attitude of The Reds this season. They played a good match against Arsenal however because of some mistakes it ended only with a draw. Match against Bayern in current shape (it has some serious problem with winning matches in Bundesliga) in my opinion was rather weak. Although they lost a point in the 90th minute they lost many more points. Match against Chelsea luckily ended with a draw as well. Mourinho’s team was leading until 71 minute and had the match under control (since 66th minute they were playing with an advantage of one player), the hosts however were able to even up the match. These matches show that Manchester City is not a winning machine and each match can turn out differently. In my opinion even though the home team is a front runner, I am not so sure that they will win. I play for away team in this match with an asian handicap +1 odds 1,725. Even if Italian loses by one goal the bet will be refunded.
For one who like to play under/over in my opinion few goals can be expected. Roma plays very efficiently in attack, and Manchester City prefers to play ultra offensively on their own stadium. I bet on over 2,5 goals with a stake 2/10 odds 1,70.
