Grand Derby - supreme fight upcoming Saturday
El Clasico in Madrid. Will Barcelona lose first point in La Liga this season?
Upcoming Saturday we are awaiting a match among two giants of European football. Grand El Clasico has an extra rumor going on that Luis Suarez might be playing in the match. Which team is the frontrunner of this match? Bookmakers pick home team with the odds 2,38, for a draw 3,75 and for away’s team win 3,00. The question is if making tips is this match in only reading the tea leaves. Currently both teams are in a very good shape. Real wins not only in La Liga but as well in Champions League. Latest win against Liverpool 3:0 showed Galacticos’ strengths and abilities. Killing counter-attacks led by Madrid’s players are excellent and none of the teams in the whole world does them better. Their defence is on the highest level as well. It is hard to find weak points in the winner of previous Champions League. Maybe lack of Gareth Bale on the right wing, however it is hard to say if his injury is so bad. Perhaps we will see the Welshman on Saturday. I would not be surprised if there was a “miraculous recovery”just in time for the Grand Derby.
Barcelona surprises this season with definitely better defence because in 8 league matches did not lost any matches and scored 22 goals. Blaugrana’s coach - Luis Enrique focuses on the defence in contrast to his predecessors. Tight defence is definitely important in modern football because it isn’t always possible to counterattack and regain lost goal. I have watched recent match among Barcelona and Eibar and I have to say that I haven’t seen much from Barcelona’s defence from current season. Absent minded defenders, primarily Gerard Pique was annoying and could lead to the loss of not only one point but two. Forward of Eibar Capa in one of the actions passed the goalkeeper and later on did not score, another could not beat the goalkeeper in the one on one situation. If Real Madrid players’ will have such situation the will probably use them with cold-blooded. Will Barcelona be able to keep a clean sheet? I think it is unlikely moreover I am willing to bet that the home team will score over 1,5 points (odds 1,80). Will it be enough to win? I don’t know but still I bet on a high score. I expect a match similar to the one of Paris where PSG won 3:2.
- Odds at over 3 gals (asian handicap) at 1,80.
A big unknown is the performance of Luis Suarez. Carlo Ancelotti does not know how to set the defense formation. In my opinion it can be of a great importance in this match, however is a player without a match rhythm be able to be in a great shape?
