Final of Champions League Juventus - Barcelona

In this year Champions League final will be played at Olympiastadion in Berlin.

Who is a favourite in this match? What odds were set by bookmakers? Are there any odds interesting enough to bet on?

Barcelona is the favourite - it was hard to expect that it would be different. Bookmakers pay 1,36 for win of Barca and 3,25 for win of Juventus. In case of Barcelona’s win in regular time of game bookmakers offer odds 1,64 for a draw 4,00, and for La Signora Vecchia’s win 5,50. A question if odds for Barca are not too low arises?

Suarez may not play in the final (if it’s not a curve ball), which really may be resembled in the Blaugrana’s play. Tercet (Messi, Neymar, Suarez) understand themselves very well and losing such a player decreases the chance of scoring a goal by 15%-20%. In case of lack of Suarez, play of Barcelona will become more probable, and what goes with it great defense of Juventus may be able to stop them. Everybody plays their best in the final, and in both teams there are many world football starts. In my opinion if odds for over 1,70 will increase for Blaugrana win, it will be worth attention, if not, in my opinion it will be better to sit in a chair and enjoy football at the highest level.

Bookmakers set the odds on under 2,5 goal at 1,9. Looking at the fact, that it is the final, in my opinion it is a little bit too high. Usually, at this level there are not many goals scored, taking in consideration very good defence of Juventus and surprisingly effective offense of Barcelona in the current season, and possible absence of Suarez, odds seem to be interesting. Barca scores a lot on its own stadium, however on a different one, average of scoring goals is not as high anymore. I think that playing on under 2,5 goal makes sense but without exaggerating with the stake, max 2/10.

I will also bet on BTS - both team score with result NO. Odds 1,85. Moreover, I am waiting for setting up the line of corner shoots. In case, if it will be 10,5 I will play on under. Although, Barcelona this season does not treat corners the same as kicking the ball from out and centering it on the shooting field, however the players have a tendency to “run away” with the ball to the center. I assume that Juve will defend well and that there won’t be more than 3 corner shoots.Direct matches (although played long time ago - 12 years) show, that matches were even. Recent matches in Champions League were ending with draws 1:1, 1:1 and only Zalayeta in 114 minute settled the win of Juventus. It is hard, to logically relate to a match played that long time ago, however the history likes to repeat itself…
