Analysis of semi-final rematches in European League

• Benefica Lisbon: Fenerbahce

In yesterday's match Fanerbahce has deservedly beaten Benefica at home.  First half was full of the expected attacks of the Turks, with unused penalty throw in the last minute of first half. In the second half Benefica has had many chances but it was the home team that in the 72nd minute of the match scored one and only goal of this match. How to evaluate the chance of advance to the final? I would give an equal chance of 50%. To be honest I think that Benefica had played below expectations and in reality has gone to Turkey only not to lose. I did not see the desire to score goals  but rater a cold calculation for minimal losses. It has to be admitted that the Portuguese at home play 2x better than during away gams, which absolutely does not prejudice the final result. In my opinion Benefica is likely to win in this match but I would not go for an advance. Turks are able to score a goal and odds of 2:1, 3:2 are probable. Bookmakers has put adds for Benefica's victory within 1,44-1,50 is it worth playing? At this stage I rather do not play these odds, even though I know the mentality of Turkish clubs (at home they play very well, and during away game they often play poorly) I am thinking of betting over 2.5 (odds 1.8) and over when it comes to corners. Benefica surely will be a frequent visitor to the penalty box that is why I expect a lot of corners (over10).

• Chelsea FC : Basel

The first match was full of drama and ended with a winning goal scored by Chelsea practically in the last second of the meeting. Is Basel going to have any chances in the rematch? If anyone was watching the first match, he or she know that this match could have ended differently. Basesl was very inefficient and despite some excellent situations did not manage to score even one goal. It has only used its penalty shot, which in my opinion should not happen. Bookmakers do not give big chances for the advance of the Swiss and probably they are right . The odds for Chelsea's victory 1.4 seems to be good for combo game, but I will not probably bet on it. On Basel is on the field I stubbornly play on over 2.5 which has given good results until now.
